Report
The project is located in a plot on a consolidated urban area, with an existing building developed on the ground floor and first floor and an elongated and narrow shape, arranged in a corner. The building currently has an entrance on each one of the streets. The ground floor contains a formerly commercial area, the internal communication staircase, the living area and a rear area which used to be a car park. The first floor is intended for the sleeping area, while the space under the roof is currently not accessible.
The project includes the refurbishment and extension of the building to finally obtain 4 flats. The existing slabs are maintained, and the roof is demolished and to raise a new one at 10.30 m height as permitted by regulations. The stairs have been reversed and extended one more floor. The façade is completely reassembled in terms of holes and cladding to adapt it to the new functional program and also meet the criteria that define the traditional constructions of the 19th century.
The new access to the building is located in the center of the longest façade. The ground floor will contain two appartments, one on each side of the common staircase, while each of the upper floors will have only one appartment.
